Whatever Charon's soldiers had been anticipating, it hadn't been this. The armour wasn't supposed to be operational. It certainly wasn't supposed to be used against them. This was their weapon being used against them.

And a weapon didn't care whose blood it spilled.

They fall like puppets with cut strings and the armour almost felt pleased, seemed to enjoy it. It was ridiculous. It was armour, inanimate. But it was built for war and York was giving it its first real taste of that.
